Keerimalai is famous for its holy pond and the Naguleaswaran temple. The village of Keerimalai is located approximately 12 KM from Uduvil and 25 KM from Jaffna. This pond is significant because it is few feet from the sea and holds fresh water.
It is said this underwater water source also connects to the Nilavarai bottomless well which lies over 10 Km away This spring is popular among the Hindus for the miraculous powers it holds.
