Jaffna International Airport (JAF) opened in 2019 and connects India to the Jaffna peninsula. It is located approximately 13 km from Uduvil.

Ferry services between Jaffna and India began in 2023. This ferry service connects Kankesanthurai in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, to Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu, India.

Keerimalai is famous for its holy pond and Naguleaswaran temple. The village is located approximately 12 km from Uduvil. The pond is significant because it is only a few feet from the sea and contains fresh water from an underwater source 25 KM away.

This underwater water source also connects to the Nilavarai bottomless well, over 10 km away. This spring is popular among Hindus for its miraculous powers.

The Jaffna Library, located in the northern region of Sri Lanka, was established as one of Asia's largest libraries. It housed over 97,000 books and invaluable historical manuscripts for the Tamil community. Tragically, the library was set ablaze in 1981 during ethnic tensions, with a significant loss of its collections and cultural heritage. After an extended rebuilding period, the new Jaffna Library was inaugurated in 2003, symbolizing resilience and the importance of preserving knowledge.
